In a previous blog entry, we looked at ESCI’s Bo-105 “Rescue Service” (ESCI 4056). Today’s review is for Charly’s WV – Bo 105 (ESCI #4061). This review is going to be pretty short. The spruces are similar with the previous kit except in that they do not include the rescue helicopter specific parts (light, loudspeakers, skis) but instead include HOT missiles, which are not to be used in building the kit. The machine depicted in this kit is for a demo machine of the German army (no armament on board). This kit was also produced by Revell of Germany with a extensive set of decals for 3 possible machines. The ESCI kit can still be found relatively easily on eBay, and is usually inexpensive. Assembly is easy. However, as stated before, ESCI decals tend to turn bad over time, and a coat of decal film will be required to keep them together. Note that the below pictures are not a good indication of the kit as many parts felt off the spruces.
